Guide · Google Antigravity
Use Google Antigravity remotely from any device
Antigravity is Google's AI coding agent. Normally you use it at the computer it is installed on. With AgentPort you install it once on a computer you own, then chat with it from any browser, on any device.
How it works
AgentPort puts a small Docker container on your computer or VPS. That container runs the Antigravity command-line agent (agy) in your project folders. The AgentPort web app gives you a chat for it. Your browser connects directly to your computer over a secure link; AgentPort's cloud only signs you in and keeps the list of your computers.
- Your Google sign-in for Antigravity stays on your computer (in
~/.gemini). - The Antigravity program itself lives in
~/.agyon the host, so it survives AgentPort updates. - No API key needed. You sign in with your Google account.
What you need
- A computer that stays on: a Linux VPS, a home server or a Mac, with Docker running.
- A free AgentPort account.
- A Google account that can use Antigravity.
Step 1: Connect your computer
- Sign in to AgentPort and click Add machine. Name it.
- Choose Your computer and click Copy to copy the one-line install command.
- Open a terminal on that computer (or SSH into your VPS) and paste it.
The installer downloads AgentPort, starts it on 127.0.0.1 only, opens a secure outbound link and links the computer to your account. It takes about a minute. You do not open any ports. When the app says the computer is ready, click Connect.
Step 2: Install Antigravity and sign in with Google
- Open the computer's settings and go to AI Model → Antigravity.
- Click Install Antigravity. AgentPort installs
agyon your computer. - Click Log in with Google. Google opens in a new tab; sign in.
- Because the agent runs on another computer, Google's final page cannot reach it on its own. Copy the address from that browser tab and paste it into the Browser address box in AgentPort. That finishes the sign-in on your computer.
Step 3: Chat from any device
Click New chat and choose Antigravity. You get the same chat as with Grok: tool rows, file edits and the file preview. The assistant's bubbles and the session list show a small Antigravity mark so you always know which agent you are talking to.
Now open AgentPort on your phone. Sign in, pick the same computer and the same chat, and keep going. The work happens on your computer the whole time; the phone is just the window.
- Model and effort: AgentPort reads the models your Antigravity install offers and lets you choose effort (Default, Low, Medium, High).
- Several chats: run multiple sessions per computer, grouped by project folder.
- Review changes: the file panel shows git changes and a diff per file.
One thing to know about approvals
Antigravity in headless mode cannot pause and wait for a yes or no. So for Antigravity chats AgentPort uses Always approve: it edits files and runs commands without stopping to ask. Ask first and Auto are shown but disabled for Antigravity. If you want step-by-step approvals, use a Grok chat on the same computer, which supports Ask first and Auto.
Good habits with Always approve: work in a git repository, keep the agent in the project folder, and check the Changed tab before you push.
Give Antigravity GitHub and Vercel
Under Connectors, sign in to the official GitHub (gh) and Vercel CLIs on your computer. Antigravity starts with the same GitHub and Vercel login Grok uses, and gets a short note listing what is connected, so it can clone, push and deploy for you. Tokens stay on your computer.
Keeping it updated
When an update is available, the computer's Software tab shows Update (or run bash ~/.agentport/update-node.sh). Your Google sign-in, the Antigravity program, your projects and chats are kept.
FAQ
Do I need a Google API key?
No. You sign in with Google in your browser, and the sign-in files stay on your computer.
Can I use Grok and Antigravity on the same computer?
Yes. Pick the agent when you start a new chat.
What does it cost?
AgentPort is free for 1 computer and $27/month for up to 3 on Pro. Antigravity usage is between you and Google.
Try it on your own computer
The Free plan covers 1 computer. Pro is $27/month for up to 3. You bring the AI login and pay that provider directly.
